How long can/should birds go without water? Wilfried Loeding, in his book “The ABC’s of Cockatiels”, published way back in 1979, comments that cockatiels can safely go without water for a couple of days. Firstly, what is your position on this, and secondly, would you recommend add-ing a trace element or vitamin supplement to cockatiels’ or other parrots’ water?
