Kevin, the Goffin's Cockatoo, Passes Away - March 21, 2010
Kevin has died in an accident that has left his caregiver family and others devastated. From surviving being wild caught and other dire circumstances Kevin's young life was cut short by an empty cup holder in his cage!
Between going to bed on March 20 and the morning of March 21 Kevin became caught upside down in an empty cup holder in his cage. Goffin's are very active, inqusitive parrots - Kevin was full of life and a true Goffin's Cockatoo who died tragically.
Empty cup holders can cause injury or death, keep a bowl filled with foot toys, shredded paper or even empty bowls in the cup holders - DO NOT leave the holders empty.
Kevin is at peace.
